Educational Assistance for Employees and Their Families
Educational assistance benefits are available to UAB employees and their spouses and/or dependent children. Eligible coursework must be taken at UAB for UAB academic credit and is subject to grade point average requirements.
Technician Step Incentive Program
Technicians who successfully meet pre-established goals may rapidly advance to the median of the pay scale range over a two-year period. Eligible employees will be evaluated every six months for the first two years of employment. Those individuals that successfully achieve the established goals will receive an incentive salary adjustment allowing them to advance from the starting pay level to the median of the range in four steps.
